When the foam is in place and has had a little time for the off-gassing, less than 24 hours, you can work inside and trim off any excess foam and remove the inner protective film from the glazing. Getting the film off the glazing quickly is important because the foam makes the protective film brittle and hard to remove. Be careful about climbing on the earthen work bench. You do not want to break off the front corner. It will make it more difficult to plaster. Now you’ve got a pretty darn solid building that is durable and can hold heat. You have a place to grow your transplants and/or food in the winter months. Staple a wire mesh over the window and make a screen door covered with 1” poultry netting to keep out the chickens and let in the insects to pollinate your fruit blossoms.
